More than 36 hours since outage begin
Thousands of locals will have to continue waiting for internet access as attempts to fix the problem overnight have failed.
Manx Telecom has given an update on social media this morning.
It says that 'MT and Nokia engineers have worked through the night on a hardware upgrade to the network. We regret this was not successful and we continue to work to restore service'.
Chief Executive Officer at Manx Telecom is Gary Lamb:
For those trying to work from home who're affected by the internet outage and aren't restricted by self-isolation, the Mountain View Innovation Centre is opening up its work spaces.
AFD Group, who run the centre on the Jurby Road just outside Ramsey, say the service will be completely free until the issue is resolved.
Free public WIFI and co-working spaces are available.
