Is social media increasing stress and anxiety among children?

Samaritans stress "we're always here to talk"

An Island charity has expressed concern social media is taking its toll on young people's happiness.

Samaritans regularly visits local schools to speak to children about emotional wellbeing.

It comes after UK research found more than half of pupils said social media apps were worsening feelings of anxiety.

Two-thirds of 14-24-year-olds also said Facebook was facilitating online bullying.

Samaritans' Island Director Gill Porter says it's a complex issue
