Winds could hit 70mph this afternoon
The Met Office says winds of up to 70 miles per hour will sweep across the Island later.
Forecasters at Ronaldsway say strong southwest winds will become gale or severe gales this afternoon and into the evening.
They add with with gusts of between 60 and 70 mph, some damage is possible, and water and debris could wash onto exposed roads and promenades.
Conditions are due to ease later tonight.
