Island firms uged to prepare for 2014 expo

 

Local firms are being urged to get behind a top-level government effort to showcase the cream of Island goods and services at a major British expo next year.

 

The International Festival for Business 2014 - the first event of its kind in Britain for several decades - will be staged at venues around Liverpool next June and July.

 

It's being billed as a superb opportunity for firms to market themselves to around a quarter of a million visitors, on their doorstep.

 

The Department of Economic Development is coordinating the Isle of Man's presence at the festival.

 

Minister John Shimmin says there are promising signs the audience will be interested in firms across a range of sectors:
