DEC appeal prompts Manx donation
The Chief Minister says the Island is meeting its international duty by donating £100,000 to impoverished Rohingya Muslims fleeing violence in Myanmar.
Roughly half a million people are thought to have crossed the border into neighbouring Bangladesh, amid growing condemnation from the international community.
The Isle of Man's donation will be distributed through charitable organisations via the UK's Disasters Emergency Committee.
Howard Quayle says giving to help ease a humanitarian crisis is a responsible nation's duty:
Court orders return of property seized by police
Number of bus services cancelled or at risk today
Charity to connect elderly people with services at event
