Alexandra Delaney-Bhattacharya reacts to news of new National Office for AI Development and Regulation
The Island's information commissioner has welcomed government's plans to create a 'National Office for AI Development and Regulation'.
It's hoped that the new office will be established before the end of this year, and will also play a role in bringing forward its plans to digitise public services.
The Chief Minister, Alfred Cannan says that the capabilities of artificial intelligence will significantly challenge the status quo and those who are unprepared will struggle to remain competitive.
