Island hosts 'one of a kind' training programme

Final day of Ship Superintendent course

For the past nine days, the Island has been hosting a training programme which is thought to be the only one of its kind in the world.

Delegates from across the globe come here to learn how to be a Ship Superintendent, with courses held every six months for the past 13 years.

Held at the Nunnery, it's managed by local company EMCS International, and hosted by University College Isle of Man - with today (Fri 16) the final day of this instalment.

Director Steve George says this cohort have come from far and wide.
