Island is an 'attractive place' for healthcare workers says Manx Care

But union claims nursing staff are 'struggling' with cost of living

Manx Care says it believes the Isle of Man is an 'attractive place' for healthcare workers to live.

It says it does offer a 'positive pay differential' between here and the United Kingdom.

The health body has offered staff a four per cent pay offer – three per cent higher than what it says it had budgeted for in the current financial year.

However that view doesn't appear to be shared by the Royal College of Nursing which is calling for a 15 per cent uplift.

The RCN will ballot its members on the proposed pay deal next month – you can find out more HERE.
