Industry expert speaks on Isle of Man
The Isle of Man is legally limited in its ability to restrict fishing in its waters, according to an industry expert.
Hazel Curtis from Seafish UK was speaking on the Island about managing stock numbers in fisheries.
The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture announced yesterday that there will be further restrictions to queen scallop fishing this year due to stocks falling to their lowest level in 26 years.
Ms Curtis says the Island can't just ban fishermen from other jurisdictions:
