Health Minister reveals paper being studied
The use of cannabis-based drugs for treatment is being looked at here.
Health Minister David Ashford has revealed he received a paper on the matter two weeks ago and it is now under consideration by his department.
The matter has received widespread publicity recently due to the cases of children in the UK with severe epilepsy being denied access to cannabis oil to help control seizures.
Mr Ashford says the Isle of Man is being proactive, rather than reactive about the issue.
