Public health director says service is remaining vigilant
The Island is ready to respond to the coronavirus, should a potential case of the disease arrive here.
Director of Public Health Dr Henrietta Ewart says the health service is remaining vigilant and keeping plans under review, but is prepared to deal with this type of situation.
She told Howard Caine that whilst the Chinese authorities appear to have been quick to clamp down on travel from Wuhan, with international travel being so rapid we do have to remain vigilant:
New Year Honours for six Isle of Man residents
Island enjoyed 'reasonable' summer despite no record-breaking temperatures
Head of Ambulance Service 'really privileged' to receive New Year Honour
Chief Fire Officer 'overwhelmed' after receiving New Year Honour
