Tuesday's temperatures just shy of highest recorded in July 1983
As well as being the hottest day of the year so far, yesterday (13 June) was also the hottest June day on record for Ronaldsway.
The Met Office recorded a temperature of 28.1°C, which peaked at around 3:40pm.
Before that the warmest June day the Island has had, since records began in 1947, was 27 June 2018 when we saw a maximum temperature of 27.5°C.
The hottest day the Island has ever had was 12 July 1983 which saw temperatures as high as 28.9°C.
Today (14 June) temperatures are set to be slightly cooler with a maximum of 24 or 25°C.
