One World Centre says we could offer refuge
The One World Centre says the Isle of Man should welcome migrants to its shores amid a crisis in Europe.
Centre chair Phil Craine says a recent call from the Chamber of Commerce to increase the Island's population by 15,000 means we should send a message migrants are welcome here.
The UK government is coming under increasing pressure to accept more refugees.
Mr Craine says the Island should weigh in on the issue:
'Essential' that school staff recognise the signs of an allergic reaction
'High' risk of wildfires over the next week
'Come From Away' to continue after cast member injured during rehearsal
'Parks in worse state then when I started' says Peel commissioner
