New laws promised by DHA
An MLC says the Island is way behind other jurisdictions on legislation surrounding domestic abuse.
In Tynwald yesterday (Tues 17), Home Affairs Minister Bill Malarkey confirmed there'll be a public consultation on two new bills relating to domestic violence.
It follows the campaigns of local charity Safe Strong Secure, pushing for changes to the law on the Island.
