Island to improve falls provisions

Public Health report highlights dangers

The Island's ageing population needs to be better provisioned for falls.

That's from the senior health strategist at Public Health Dawn Henley.

After the age of 65 there's a higher chance of falls, causing serious or fatal injuries.

A report from Public health is looking at how the Island can better cater for falls at the hospital, in the community and in care homes.

Dawn Henley says there are also ways in which people can help themselves.
