Chief Minister stands by decision

Is it time for the Island to fall in line with many other parts of the British Isles and accept Syrian refugees?

The issue has come to light again this week, following questions in Tynwald over what many believe is an 'international duty' of the Isle of Man to help people from war-hit countries.

But the Chief Minister says he's standing by his decision last year not to allow a small number of humanitarian migrants to settle here.
