New baby welcomed on Island today (29 February)
Manx Radio understands at least one baby has been born on the Isle of Man already today.
Due to it being a Leap Year those born on 29 February will, technically, only get the chance to celebrate their birthday once every four years!
According to statistics there is a 1 in 1,461 chance of being born on Leap Day making it the rarest birth date on the planet.
Around four million people, across the world, are born on 29 February each year.
Leap Day babies are often known as 'leaplings' or 'leapers'.
