MT advising customers to hang up
Members of the Manx public have been subjected to yet more scamming attempts this morning (Wed 28).
Calls have been received from people claiming to be working for Manx Telecom, who instruct customers to select options on their keypad to discuss the matter further, or else they'll be cut off in 48 hours.
Manx Telecom advises its customers should hang up immediately in this situation and should not press any numbers on their key pad.
The organisation says the Office of Fair Trading has been notified of the activity, and investigations are underway.
