Isle Stand Up to Suicide delivers QPR training for 20 residents

Suicide Prevention Strategy to be laid before Tynwald 

This week marks Mental Health Awareness Week and a charity on the Island has marked it by delivering suicide prevention training.

Last night (13 May) 20 volunteers were taught QPR - Question, Persuade and Refer - training.

It’s designed to be used when speaking to someone who may be contemplating taking their own life.

Next week the Suicide Prevention Strategy will be laid before Tynwald.
