Charity uses footage to confirm dolphin birth

Yesterday, it was reported there had been a sighting of what's believed to be the first dolphin calf born in Manx waters.

Footage emerged of the bottlenose youngster in Gansey Bay in mid-September, minutes after it was born, swimming with its pod.

Since then, the calf has been spotted 26 times around the coastline.

The Outreach and Education Manager at Manx Whale and Dolphin Watch, Jen Adams, says seeing dolphins off our Island is good news:
