105-year-old Manx dialect show
A snippet of Manx culture from over 100 years ago has been immortalised by the Michael Players RBV and Culture Vannin.
John Joseph Kneen's 1913 Manx dialect play, called 'A Lil Smook', was performed by the Michael Players at the Peel Centenary Centre in February of this year.
The group produce shows each year, combining Manx costumes, music, folklore, stories, language and humour into compact theatre performances.
Culture Vannin, who filmed this play in particular, says its release online marks only the third Manx dialect play performance to reach the internet.
The play is available to watch in full on youtube. For more information and for more concerts, go to the Culture Vannin website.
