The Commissioners say Director of Airports, Gary Cobb, will attend the meeting
A public meeting has been organised in Jurby over the inclusion in the proposed North-West Area Plan of provision for a significant extension to the airfield.
Jurby Commissioners say the meeting will take place before their board meeting on Monday the 12th of August at 7pm in the Parish Hall.
The Commissioners say Director of Airports, Gary Cobb, will attend the meeting and explain the rationale behind the updated map for the area. Also in attendance will be Chief Minister, Alfred Cannan and Minister for Enterprise, Tim Johnston.
It's understood the updated area plan makes provision for an extension of the runway in the direction of Summerhill, close to several properties.
