Liberal Vannin Party Leader Peter Karran says he wishes a new shipping venture well, and is looking forward to seeing how it gets on.
He was one of around 80 who attended a recent presentation by Captain Kurt Buchholz, the man behind the Ellan Vannin Line.
Mr Karran gave Manx Radio his thoughts on this potential competition for the Steam Packet, and the meeting itself:
