Summer reading scheme launches
The family library’s summer reading scheme swings into action today.
A summer of activities is lined up to complement the central challenge: for children to read six books in six weeks.
Youngsters can collect packs for the PwC sponsored scheme which runs through ther school holidays.
There will also be a series of Generation Game challenges in the Douglas based library, such as trying to eat jelly with chopsticks, and activities designed to encourage children and parents to do things together.
You can call in for the official launch day between 10.30am and 4pm.
