85-year-old was jailed in April

A convicted paedophile who sexually abused young boys in his care has launched an appeal against his prison sentence.

85-year-old Joseph Henry Marshall was jailed for six years in April after being found guilty of three charges of indecent assault and two of gross indecency.

He'd committed the offences in the 1970s whilst he was the senior house parent at Knottfield Children’s Home in Douglas.

A directions hearing, which will be heard in front of Judge of Appeal Storey QC, has been set down for 16 June.
