Knowing age of new residents 'important for healthcare plans'

More than 700 people have been given border exemptions since March

It's important to know how old new residents on the Isle of Man are to plan for future healthcare needs.

That's the view of Middle MHK Bill Shimmins after he was unable to find out the age range of the 721 people who've been given exemptions to come to the Island since March.

The group includes those who've bought property locally, although the figures don't identify how many are now permanent residents rather than temporary workers.
