Knox garden officially opened

The distinctive Celtic designs of a famous Manx artist have been recreated in flowers on Douglas Promenade.

The Archibald Knox garden was officially opened yesterday (FRI), and, amongst the flowers, it includes a plaque commemorating 150 years since his birth.

One of the foremost designers in the English Art Nouveau movement, a blue plaque on Knox's former family home on Athol Street was unveiled earlier this year.
