The students are trained by staff to give more options to those struggling
Ahead of World Mental Health Day, so-called 'peer mentors' are being highlighted as a key element to supporting those struggling with mental health conditions in schools.
King William's College runs a programme which sees staff train those wishing to be of service.
Peer mentors are pupils within the school who can be approached by other students, who may feel more comfortable speaking with a peer, as opposed to a member of staff.
Peer mentor Jenna from King William's College, explains what's involved:
Faulty device believed to have triggered multi-agency search effort
Payroll firm reprimanded after thousands of personal records discovered in abandoned shredding bins
Finish line in sight for Atlantic rowers
Further delays to Manxman sailings following weather disruption
