Former Chief Minister urges local authorities to support retail sector
The Island's towns and villages have to offer free parking to support the retail sector.
That's the view of former Chief Minister and businessman Tony Brown.
He believes local authorities and government have to make areas outside Douglas attractive to shoppers in order for local shops to be successful.
However, the ex-Castletown MHK says some boards don't appreciate the effect their decisions have on nearby stores:
Ramsey Rocks event cancelled
MWT plans to plant almost 10,000 trees
Duck off: Chinese takeaway on the hunt for bigger ducks
Does it matter where your MHK lives?
