She's been welcomed into new role during event on Island this week
Lady Peta Cavendish says she is delighted to have been made patron of the Island's children's hospice.
Lady Cavendish - who is the wife of Isle of Man cycling legend Sir Mark Cavendish - was shown around Rebecca House this week.
She made a speech to the gathering and was introduced to staff.
