Minister looking to tackle homelessness, too
A law intended to ensure basic minimum standards in thousands of rented properties across the Island, was 'riddled with errors' when it was drafted six years ago, according to a government minister.
However, Chris Thomas says it must revisit the Landlords Registration Bill, if the Island is to try and stop homelessness.
Mr Thomas, who has promised to present a report on cold, hunger and homelessness to Tynwald in October, says 'everybody is shamed by the quality of some private rented accommodation':
