The Island’s landlords have welcomed moves to put new legislation before a three-strong committee before it’s introduced.
In the House of Keys yesterday (Tues), the Landlord and Tenants bill received its second reading, but will now undergo extra scrutiny after Douglas West MHK Chris Thomas moved it be put before a committee.
At the sitting were plenty of members of the Manx Landlords’ Association, which claims the new laws are skewed in favour of tenants.
