Large new estate planned for south

Site next to Poulsom Park earmarked

Almost 100 new homes could be built in Castletown, pending planning approval.

Haven Homes has submitted designs for the development adjacent to Poulsom Park.

The 98-home estate has been earmarked for a patch of land off the A5 Victoria Road roundabout.

It will feature off-street parking, require the building of several new roads, and promises easy access to schools, public transport and local amenities.

Two dozen of the properties have been designed as low-cost terraced homes.

Blueprints published by Castletown-based Hugh Logan Architects are now out to consultation.

You can view and comment on them yourself via government's online planning portal, gov.im.
