Police issue warning after commercial flight affected
Police have issued a warning after a green laser pointer was aimed at an aircraft approaching Ronaldsway Airport.
The flight from Liverpool was en route to the Island, at around 8.30pm on Monday, when the laser was pointed at the cockpit from the direction of Onchan Head.
Officers say the use of laser pointers 'may seem innocent and good fun' however could cause harm to those in charge of the aircraft and endanger all onboard.
Anyone with information is urged to contact police or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
