The Isle of Man airport says the reason why some travellers missed their Monday evening flight to Manchester was simply due to passengers arriving late.
That's despite only one of the two security lines at Ronaldsway being fully operational.
On Monday evening a number of people found themselves stranded at Ronaldsway claiming they'd missed the flight despite arriving early.
However, in a statement issued to Manx Radio, a spokesman says unfortunately some passengers still arrived too late to allow enough time to get through security.
While one of the lines is open, the other has recently undergone repair and is awaiting sign off from the firm responsible for its maintenance.

It adds  - Monday was a peak time for passengers moving through security and staff were deployed to ensure this process was managed efficiently.
Passengers have also been reminded to re-familiarise themselves with the requirements for flying to avoid delays in future.
