The Manx Music Festival saw one of its records broken last night after a memorable performance from one of its best-known competitors.
Laurence Kermode, who celebrated his hundredth birthday recently, is already thought to be one of the oldest people ever to take part in the Guild.
Last night in the Promenade Suite, he became the oldest person ever to win a class for his recital of TE Brown’s poetry.
This was the performance that earned him a win:
CoMin making 'significant and determined efforts' to implement recommendations from Ranson review
Rain events 'difficult to forecast' on the Isle of Man
Planning permission granted for 26 industrial units
Port St Mary Commissioners urging residents not to 'struggle in silence'
