
Laxey Glen Mills has scored a coup – with its first off-Island customer buying flour to use in an exclusive London restaurant.
David Gold will use the flour to make pizza and pasta at Love’s Fresh Pasta near Grosvenor Square after he toured the mill and saw the flour being made.
The news will see tonnes of Manx flour, made from wheat grown on the Island, delivered to the business – which is already planning to open more restaurants.
Sandra Donelly, the mill’s managing director, says chefs were impressed with the flour because it contains no additives:
