27-year-old will be sentenced for both offences in March
A Laxey man who is waiting to be sentenced for smashing a shop window has appeared in court again charged with theft.
Daniel Luke Maguire, of Glen Road, admitted stealing more than £46 worth of alcohol from a convenience store on Tuesday (7 February).
The 27-year-old entered SPAR, on Bucks Road in Douglas, at 6pm; he was seen placing beer and cider into his bags for life but made no attempt to pay for it.
Police were called and as they were reviewing CCTV Maguire re-entered the shop and was arrested; his probation worker told the court he had ‘no memory’ of the theft.
Maguire will be sentenced for both offences on 7 March after a Social Enquiry Report has been completed; he’s been bailed until that date.
