Laxey Partners buys more Rangers shares

A Manx-based company which has bought just under five per cent of troubled Scottish football club Rangers says it won’t be involved in the club’s day-to-day management.

Laxey Partners Limited bought two million shares in Rangers International Football Club plc on Monday in a deal worth around £840,000.

It bought some shares in newco Rangers last October – this week’s purchase sees its stake in the Ibrox side rise to 4.99 per cent.
