Local authority says it would help reduce social housing waiting list
Braddan Commissioners is planning to purchase a minimum of 30 so-called ‘affordable’ homes in the new Braddan Woods development.
The local authority says it would help meet the demands of its social housing waiting list.
That’s despite publicly objecting to the development of the land on Braddan Road due to access and traffic concerns.
It adds that it wouldn't need any additional staff to cover maintenance work because the Department of Infrastructure has taken back the management of 40 properties in the parish.
