A legal high connected to the death of a 17 year-old Ramsey girl has been banned in the Island for a further year.
MDAI was described by Health and Social Care Minister Howard Quayle as ‘unsafe’ and a substance which continues to be a ‘potential problem’ for the Island.
In April 2011, Tanya Hughes died after an overdose, leading the coroner to say it should act as a warning to anyone considering taking such substances.
Politicians backed Mr Quayle’s move to extend the ban of MDAI in the Island for a further 12 months.
