Just 44% completed on time
Just 44 per cent of government's capital projects have been completed on time and on budget in the past three financial years.
The figures have been revealed in a Tynwald written answer from the treasury minister to Rushen MHK Juan Watterson.
David Ashford says two years of disruption due to the Covid pandemic should be taken into account when reviewing the 82 completed projects since 2018.
However the number of projects completed actually increased over the past three years, from 24 (39 per cent) in the 2018/19 financial year, 28 (45 per cent) in 2019/20, and 30 (47 per cent) between 2020/21.
It means during that time, 104 projects overran and overspent.
