Henderson delivers English Illiam Dhone oration
The rightful place of a medieval manuscript - thought to be one of the most important artifacts in Manx history - was the topic of the address at the annual Illiam Dhone ceremony this afternoon.
Delivering the English oration at Hango Hill, Bill Henderson MLC called for more to be done to secure the return of the Chronicles of Mann.
The 750-year-old book, which is in the possession of the British Museum, forms part of a collection currently on display in London.
Mr Henderson, who last viewed the Chronicles when they were exhibited on the Island in 2013, said it was 'truly breathtaking':
