Most staff will move The Regency Hotel’s future restaurant venture
The owners of L'Experience Restaurant have announced the business will close in October.
In a statement, Belinda and Michael say the hospitality industry has faced immense pressures in recent years.
"Rising costs across every area have made it increasingly difficult to maintain the level of quality and enjoyment that both our staff and customers deserve.
"Despite our best efforts, these challenges have become insurmountable, and with great sadness we must take this step.
"Over the past 16 years, we have had the privilege of serving this wonderful community. None of it would have been possible without the support of our loyal customers. You have been the very heart of L'Experience. We are forever grateful for your custom, encouragement and friendship."
Most of the staff - including the head chef - will move to The Regency Hotel’s future restaurant venture.
Anyone with vouchers for L'Experience are asked to use them by 25 October.
