Henry Bloom Noble librarian says children who read do better academically
Libraries are a 'vital' service for children on the Isle of Man.
That's the view of the librarian from the Henry Bloom Noble Library who says youngsters who are encouraged to read at a young age often perform better at school.
Jan McCartney says the facility is for 'everyone' in the community.
Waterstones Children's Laureate Joseph Coelho also agrees:
Henry Bloom Noble Library is free to join - for residents who can't travel to Douglas they can become a member online.
