IOM doing well on limiting light levels
A local astronomer says light pollution has a hugely detrimental effect on the wildlife of planet earth.
Howard Parkin is the organiser behind a series of events this month celebrating the Dark Skies of the Isle of Man, which includes stargazing sessions and trips to the observatory.
But whilst he said the Island is doing "very very well indeed" in minimising light pollution, it has become a big problem internationally and is damaging life on earth.
