Hope it'll be an opportunity for people to 'come together to explore how together we can make a difference'
Loneliness and isolation are two of the biggest challenges facing communities across the world, and the Isle of Man is not exempt.
That's the message from Manx charity Live at Home, which is hosting an open discussion on the topic tomorrow (Wednesday 1 October) at the Roundhouse in Braddan between 10am and 2pm.
It's hoped it can be an opportunity for people to 'come together, in an informal atmosphere, to explore how together we can make a difference'.
Chair of Live at Home David Gawne says everyone can experience loneliness at some point in their lives:
He added that he was encouraged by the recently published Transport Strategy.
The document includes a commitment to providing strong transport links to 'enhance community resilience and reduce loneliness and isolation'.
Infrastructure Minister Michelle Haywood will be attending the open discussion tomorrow to further explain the plans.
All are welcome but are asked to contact karen.winter@liveathome.im to indicate their attendance.
