£25K sought for Friends of Robert Owen House
A charity which has helped hundreds of families through the stresses of off-Island hospital care is looking for £25,000 in order to continue its work.
Friends of Robert Owen House arranges for relatives to stay at the 17-bed facility, based in the grounds of Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital in Broadgreen.
Its founder, the late Professor Robert Owen, was a pioneer in the field of orthopaedic surgery.
June Young from the charity stayed at Robert Owen House while her husband was undergoing major surgery.
The Friends of Robert Owen House's next fundraising event will be a charity concert at St John's Methodist Church next Friday, 19 October.
