Found in possession of heroin
A Liverpool man has been sentenced to five years and four months in prison for drugs offences.
Twenty-seven-year-old John Slater was found to be in possession of £254-worth of heroin in Douglas earlier this year and was subsequently arrested.
Following the search of a property in Onchan, police discovered cannabis and heroin with a street value of £4,000.
Slater was also charged with attempting to conceal criminal property - namely £1,205 cash he was sending back to Liverpool.
