Thousands injured or left without homes after disaster
A local branch of an international charity has donated £2000 to help those affected by the earthquakes in Venezuela.
Rotary Club of Rushen and Western Mann, has sent the funds to ShelterBox, an international disaster relief charity.
According to Al Jazeera, the death toll in Venezuela has exceeded 3,500 people, with thousands more injured and left without homes.
The money will help to provide emergency shelter kits, solar lights, thermal blankets and sleeping mats, and essential cooking utensils.
ShelterBox is Rotary International's global partner for disaster relief.
